    Default changing directories in command prompt

    hi there !

    I want to change directories in command prompt and in the command prompt i type

    C: \> cd program*

    as i know * is a wild card, its not changing the directory to Program Files ! how do i switch to the directory Program files ?? since it has a space inbetween, can anyone tell me please quickly!

    At the C:\> prompt type "cd progra~1" without the quotation marks.
    To see what to type for other folders at the prompt type "dir /w". The folders names will be displayed in square brackets and that is what to type after the cd command.
