Default Maybe I'm dumb. Or maybe the disc is bad? (pics)

First off... I used to use this forum constantly
and lost all of my faves, got a new laptop, and
lost this site. I've finally found it again. Looks
different from a few years ago. heh. Glad to
see people are still contributing here.

anyway, i hope someone here can shed some light
    on my issue. Here goes..

I bought this synthesizer not to long ago. It runs over
    $1,000 so I don't know if it is a mess-up on the company's
part..and if so, for the price; that's sad. Or maybe I got a
    defective CD, etc.

Ive been trying to install the synth's editor onto my
computer for quite sometime now. I have to open the
folder and run the setup thing this way by clicking the
    setup.exe:

once i run it, it begins the installation then says this:

and as you can see the data1.cab file is RIGHT THERE.
So I have no clue why it will not grab it, open it, and install it.

    Any guesses???

Please help me. I can't do any sort of recording
until I get this program to work.. :?

    TIA.

The problem is that the file is zipped. You are going to need to unzip it and save it to your computer in a location you will remember. Then try the installation again. When it gets to that part, hopefully it will let you pick the location to find the file. Navigate it to the folder where you unzipped it and it should be OK. If that diesn't work, it might be necessary to copy the entire CD into the folder with the unzipped file and run the setup from that folder. Charlie

Thanks. I wasnt sure if the answer was
cause "its a zip file" ....I know i had loaded
programs in the past with zip files in them.

But I did create a new folder on my desktop,
copy the files from the synth installer CD
into there. and ran set-up again.

    And sure enough it installed.

Glad to hear it, looking at things with a different set of eyes can often make a difference. Charlie
