    Default Pentium Cpu removal

Hi, I have received a new PC and I have decided I may as well sell parts on Ebay to pay for a DVDRW, but I don't know how to take the Pentium 3 cartridge out of the motherboard, any advice please? gilly 8O

There will be a lever on the base of the CPU, just pull up on it.

Open the case. Gently disconnect the fan power leads from the motherboard. Push the retaining clips out (ie away from the CPU) and pull the whole lot up from the motherboard. It may be a little tight but gently rock it and it will come away.
Before you do all that and if you are going to sell the hard drive, I suggest you click the link below.
