    Default ms-dos

    Hi again fellas.

Any advice on where to learn about DOS. I have a game and it requires MS-DOS to play it but no one seems to use DOS nowadays, me included.

    All help appreciated

    Regards Cremora

Most old dos games require certain commands to be operatable. These include monitor, memory and sound settings. These commands are included in the autoexec.bat and config.sys files, both which are no longer required by XP
Here lays the problem. In so many cases these commands can mess up windows big time.
My suggestion is to creat a seperate partition on your hard drive and create a dul boot system with Windows 95 or 98 as the alternative system. Dos games will run happily under Win95/98 as both are DOS based operating systems. You could even make the new partition DOS only.
