    Ok stupid question but perhaps not.

    I am wanting to upgrade my computer from a 950 Athlon with 128 mb memory to a 2.0 gh with 512mb memory could anyone tell me the parts that I will need to complete this task sorry for taking up so much time with what is probably a simple answer. please feel free to email me directly at (edit out)

    Afraid not.

    You need to find the MOB maker and number, chip set/socket and type of RAM the MOB will support.

    The memory is probably not a problem, but that is quite a jump for the CPU. As basementgeek said, you need to know the make and model of motherboard so you can determine the maximum CPu it will support. If you don't know, try downloading Belarc advisor here: www.belarc.com
    When you run it, it will create a report of your computer. Charlie
