Default Not a valid image file

After downloading some images from the web I like to edit them in my MGI program. However, at times when opening the image in MGI, I get the message that it is “not a valid image file” even tho details show that it is a .Jpeg and will display in Paint, MS Office Picture Manager, and Windows Picture Viewer. My MGI Register file types are: Bitmap,Targa, Gif, PhotoCD, PCX, Tiff, And Jpeg. What can I do to have the image download and be viewable in the MGI program? --Biz

If you've downloaded it, open with Paint and go to File>Save as> and save the jpeg in a different file or change its name and save as. Now open the 'new' jpeg with MGI. Keep us posted.
