    Default registry cleaner

Is there a decent free registry cleaner that could be had for the downloading? It doesn't seem like something that would be used all that often so I hate spending money on one if there are any for free. So call me cheap, I ain't no millionaire! :?

There are a number of free registry cleaners out there. The one we recommend most is Ccleaner available here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ . No one cleaner does a 100% job, with this in mind you could run another one as well.

Why bother if you aren't having problems? IMHO reg cleaners aren't needed and in most cases cause more harm than good. Just my 2 ยข

On the contrary. A messy registry with useless entries can slow down a system.
I have been using the free version of Softes Window cleaner for ages and found it adequate for home use.
