    Default Installing a new Hard Disk

    I want to buy a Seagate 80 Gb hard disk. I want to set it as my primary hard drive. Will my system support 80 GB. How should i Install It. How to Create Partitions.

    Yes, XP will support an 80gb drive (and more). The easiest, and best way (in my opinion), would be to leave the operating system on the 40 gb drive and install the second drive as a slave drive for whatever you want to use it for. If you want to put the OS on the 80 gb drive, do you have an XP install CD, a set of restore disks, or do you plan to clone your other drive to it? The first option is the easiest and doesn't require you to mess with the OS at all, just add the new drive, format and partition as you like. Charlie
