Default Apacer 15-in-1 card not recognized

My Apacer 15-in-1 internal card reader worked fine until just recently.

Now the green light on the front panel is still on whenever the computer is on, but none of the cards are recognized by the computer (they used to show up in "Explore" as drives labelled E, F, G, H, etc).

I unplugged and replugged the cables inside the computer, but that didn't help.

    My computer uses Windows XP.

Any ideas? Please write to danATdanhughes.net.

    Thanks!

Dan, I don't have a solution for you but I do have some advice for your security. It's a real bad idea to post your email address in a public forum such as this. Please edit your post to remove the email address.

Try unplugging the connections from the motherboard, boot the computer. Allow it to start up completely, then shut down. Reconnect the wires and reboot. It should see it as new hardware and reinstall whatever it needs. Charlie
