    Default Copy hard drive

I want to copy everything on my hard drive onto an external drive. What is the best way to do it?

    Thanks

Are you trying to "Clone" your HD or do wish just to copy everything that is on your HD, like for back up purposes. Big difference.

I just want to have everything saved on a separate drive just incase my computer dies. I recently nearly lost everything when my motherboard died. Luckily my local computer genius was able to save my main drive but everything on my second drive was lost. I don't want to risk losing all my music, video, photo's etc.

Not knowing what your operating system is, you can just copy them and send them to the USB drive. No programs required.

You could try the File and Settings Transfer Wizard.
