Default Is it okay to delete filder from registry?

    Qucik question:
I ran regedit to see what was in there and under the software folder, I saw 2 folders of old programs that I tried but didn't like. THe folder was called Everstrike and it contained Lock Folder and folder lock programs. Now, I uninstalled these applications from my computer maybe 2 weeks ago. My question is this: can I delete this folder called everstrike. It won't do anything bad to my registry will it if I delete it?

    thanks,
    Bob

Bob, there shouldn't be any problem in deleting them, and in fact you could go to Edit > Find> type in the names (one at a time of course) and search for all entries in registry, rt click each one and delete (use f3 to go to next entry). TWO words of warning ... One, create a system restore point before starting, or do a backup of the registry .. remember where you save it in case you need to restore. The Second word of warning is to only delete the entries that are definitely spelled the same, if in doubt leave alone, they really don't take up that much space.
