    Default c drive is almost full. ??

    i get the message every few minutes. i went to my comp, c drive and found almost nothing there. what the **&@#!!?!! is taking up so much space? i have xp home. the total space on the drive is 13.9 g's. i have deleted files, removed temp files (run, %temp%) and every thing i can think of. thank you, boyd.

    Default how do i do that?

    thanks, bg. i am still stumped about how to remove stuff on my c drive. it's almost full now and i can't find what's taking up all the space. when i open c drive it doesn't show anything large in there and very few small things. thanks for your help, boyd.

    Check to see how much space is used up with pictures and music. These, can eat up alot. Also, if you want, go to Add/remove and give us a list of your programs you have, we can check out the size and hopefully let you know if any are resource hogs. If you do have mega pictures, suggest you save to disk and delete from PC.

    i have checked my add/remove list and there's nothing on there i don't need. i don't keep any of my photos (i'm a photographer) in the "my pictures" folder in my documents. a while back i found a folder called, " temp". it was not the one i get via run, %temp%. it was a different one and it had a TON of stuff in there. i can't remember how i accessed it. i appreciate help. thanks, boyd.

    Is this your entire hdd or the free space on the hdd?

    Default it's the entire h.d. the free space is 33 mb.

    do you know how to access the other temp file/folder? see above post for description. thanks, leah. boyd

    actually, i did answer your ? but now i don't see it here. weird, huh. sorry about that. the entire drive is 13.9 gigs. what i have left as free space is 33mb. hope this clears that up. thanks for your help, boyd.

    I would suggest getting a much bigger hdd. I just bought a 300 gb one last week for 90 bucks.

    You might need more RAM too.
