Default LDK.DLL file not a valid windows image? What do I do???

    Hi guys,

My computer keeps restarting itself over and over again before I can even log into Windows XP, and each time right before it restarts, it says "Windows/System32/ldk.dll is not a valid windows image, please check against your installation diskette"

What can I do to fix this? I do not have the original system recovery CD anymore, and there are important files in my hard drive It just keeps restarting itself before it even gets to Window XP.

If you guys have any suggestions, I really appreciate it. Thanks for taking your time!

    Barry

I am unable to find an ldk.dll . Are you sure it's (L for l)dk.dll ? Have you tried booting up into Safe Mode and then Restore to an earlier date when working?

see if this works. look for this file and rename it ntoskrnl.exe under system32. copy one from a working xp pc and place it in the same folder.
we are created with an equal opportunity to be unequal.
