    Default Can't Start Windows

    Hi all,
I'm having a similar problem on my Dell Inspiron 1150 lap top: error code 0F00.0244 message block 17577640. I have tried to restart and go back to previous configuration, as well as attempting to start in safe mode. I have run the WindowsXP disc test and received the same message.

Please help me with a suggestion. Should I run a repair disc? Is this a memory problem? My daughter was downloading I-tunes upgrade when this occurred.
    Thanks,
    Mark :?:

Take a look at this post, it appears to be a similar problem http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive14-2005-7-212947.html . Keep us posted.

    Default error code 0F00.0244

Thanks for the link. It sounds like the hard drive needs replacing. How do I recover the data? Can I get it to start at all? Or, should I pay someone to recover the data?
