Default My flashplayer isn't working Please help

I Tried to download micromedia flash player and it will not work. Shock player works fine but for some reason I can't get flash player to work for me. After the download you are saposed to see the animation but all I get is a red x in a box. I uninstalled it and tried again but it just keeps doing the same thing. It acts like it's not loading it or something is blocking it from continuing. I turned off my firewall and still don't work. I'm at my witts end on this one. Does anyone got any ideas? Below you will find my hijackthis log if it will help!

Thanks, I checked all that too and everything is like it's saposed to be. I had to find a manual install for sun java to get it to load as well. The auto install wouldn't work but the manual did fine. So I don't know. All I did was install a new larger hard drive and installed Windows Me, did all the updates and so on and when I got to installing flashplayer it wouldn't work. Flashplayer and Sunjava was the only things I had trouble with and like I said I did a manual install of sun java and it worked, but as for flashplayer it's giving me trouble.

I notice you have a lot running. I suggest you close everything non essential and only have one window of IE open when you reinstall Flash player.

whoozhe, I closed off everything except for systemtray, micromedia flashplayer 8 free doenload microsoft internet-explorer.

After getting to the manual download page, before trying to download I used "Control" "Alt" "Delete" and shut down everything except for where I was and systemtray. There was nothing left in the box other then this.

I continued on with trying to download it and it says "an error occured during the process". What if I uninstall internet explorer SP1 and reinstall it then try it again? I mean I have installed new hard drives and window systems many times on computers and never ran into this before.
    I don't know I'm at a loss!

May be try rolling back your active x setting to default, just a guess.

As you know ME is a very little used Op system anymore, maybe flash program does not feel like supporting it any more. You can try installing an older version available here:
