Default Advice on using 64bit version of Windows XP

Hi I have a Pentoum 4 630 HT LGA775 at 3GHz, it says on the box that it supports 64 bit computing.

I am aware of what the 64 bit computing is etc but I just wanted to check some thing as I was thinking of upgrading to a 64 bit version of the OS.

    1. Has anyone tried using the 64 bit version, if so whats your opinion on it?

    2. When installing the 64bit edition is it possible to upgrade it off of the 32 bit OS installed currently or do you have to install a clean copy. I know the later would be better but i didnt know if you could do an upgrade.

    Thanks

There is no upgrade path from XP 32 bit to XP 64 bit as yet. That may come when Vista 64 bit is finally released.
