Try Primo pdf convertor, free download here:
    http://www.primopdf.com/

It installs as a virtual printer. Anything you can print can be sent to the Primo convertor and made into a pdf document that is saved on your hard drive.

Full version of adobe does this using the distiller. It basically adds acrobat distiller as an additional selectable printer. To convert the document you just print it using the distiller as the printer. Anything that can be printed onto paper in real life can be converted to PDF.

A free alternative is CutePDF which works in the same way.

A fax is a gif file. An Optical Character Recognition application is need to convert it to an editable document. Winfax Pro is the best around but there are others.
Winfax and maybe others can export the converted document into various formats such as Word or PDF.
Take control of your life. Leave others to control their own.
