    Default print spooler service

    my printer was diconnected and now when i try to reinstall it i get a message that says my print spooler service is not running. i've tried uninstalling and re-installing but nothing helps. i have no idea what to do, i need help please.

    Are you running Windows XP? If so click Start, click Run, type services.msc & click Ok. Scroll down to Print spooler, right click and choose Start. See attachment.

    Hi

    Go to Start > run > type services.msc & click OK

    Scroll down to print spooler

    double click print spooler

    click the start button to start the service...

    For startup type click the drop-down list & select automatic

    Click apply then OK & close the services page...

    Default didn't work

    ok when i did that i got a new message, "could not start the print spooler service on local computer. error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start.

    TRy this :-

    Click Start > Run and type the following bold text:

    CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND= RPCSS
    (might be better to copy & paste)

    click OK

    Default nothing works yet

    so far i've tried everyone's suggestions but nothing helps. when i put in CMD/K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND=RPCSS this took me to the dos window then i didn't know what to do.
