Default Can't log into Outlook Express from Another Application

By itself, Outlook Express (OE) performs well. But when I want to send a page from another application (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Peachtree, etc.), it doesn't work. I go to File>Email, but instead of it going directly to Outlook Express, a Choose Profile window pops up which identifies MS Outlook Internet Settings as the Profile Name (no other choices). If I click OK, a window popup states "MAPI Spooler could not be started. Close and restart all email applications. MAPI 1.0 (0000004c7)".
Same with Picassa: unable to send pics (same message). Same with Internet Explorer: File>Send>Page by Email (same message).
I have Windows XP, 1 MB RAM, AMD Athlon XP, 2083MHz (12.5x167) 2600+, eTrust Anti-Virus.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Default Alternative Answer

Thanks for your advice but it wasn't the answer. At least you steered me to the MS Knowledge Base where I found Article ID 306098. Needed to edit the Registry to add a missing DLLPath value to the Msoe.dll file.
