    Default Windows XP Recycle Bin

When I delete files from the C: drive, the prompt appears "Are you sure you want to send the document to the Recycle Bin", but it bypasses the Recycle Bin and doesn't go there. If I click on Edit - Undo, the file is undeleted. But it doesn't appear in the Recycle Bin nor can I restore deleted files.

If I delete files from the second hard drive F:, the files go to the Recycle Bin and I can restore the deleted files.

Question: Is there anyway I can retrieve deleted files from the C: Recycle Bin? I have 3 files in there I'd like to get back. What do I do to fix the Recycle Bin to accept deleted files from the C: drive.

I read on the Internet where I should delete the C:\Recycler folder and restart the computer and that will fix it, but I'm nervous to do anything without more help.

Try a system restore, if you are using Xp/ME, back to a time before you deleted them

    Let us know.
