What software do you use to play DVD's
    Reinstall whatever it is.

Hiya, this is the same problem I am having though I have no software to re-install. Wonderfull Dell doesn't send the original software. For a previous smaller problem they directed me to "system restore." Is this an option? If so will any of my recent installs and work be removed?
I can't play DVDs' on Media Center, Real, Media Player or Dell Cineplayer.
Possibly Windows Media Player as well.

Try installing the VLC Media Player. It's free, and it plays DVDs (and every other media format) with no problem.

Great, thanks for the tip. Isn't there something wrong with my pc though that needs to be looked into? I've run a Dell system check and it comes up clean. Or is "Dell" just an evil word in 'these here parts?' haha
    Thanks
