My husband and I are both senior using a computer, help!
Each time we start up our computer we are faced with a grey box that states we have an error. In the detail of the error is the following:

Can someone please help us with the above problem. I visited your site to see if I could find something similar toour problem, but not quite.
We have Windows '98 with a 56 k. I hope this information helps.
Help2Go has always directed us in solving problem, what would we do without you.
    Thank you in anticipation.

Try Start, Run, type sfc and click Ok, have your Windows 98 CD handy in case you are asked for it to replace missing, damaged or corrupted files.

Thanks you Bear I did what you told me to do and the system didn't ask for a back up, I therefore presume everything is fine. I'll know better the next time I log on.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

Well, there was that grey box again when I started the computer from stand by, do you have any more suggestions. Could the computer be too old, that's what someone told my hubby.
    Hope to hear from you.

Try this, go to Java http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and download and install. Reboot and see if that does the trick.
