Is there anything that can be done to prevent someone to check your internet history? Thank you

Delete it. Tools > Internet Options > Clear History.

Create another User (Guest account) and let others use that ... no way that I know of to password protect your History.

Well if this is 2000 or XP operating system you can right click the folder and select "properties". Then click the security tab. There you can take away users rights from the folder. *Note* On XP Home you have to start the computer in safe mode to see Security tab.
