automatic dial-up to my ISP (WinXP)
I have 2 questions under this subject:
1. How do I set the automatic ISP dial-up at the pc's start-up? Although the "Connecting to [my ISP]" window shows up automatically, the box "Connect to my ISP whenever a connection is not present" under my Network Connections' properties is NOT marked.
2. The "Connecting to . . ." window itself, as just mentioned, shows up automatically. However, the user button moves from "Anyone who uses this computer" to "Me only" whenever there is any kind of program (WinXP, anti-virus, etc.) update. When "Me only" is checked, the automatic dial-up never works; I am getting the 691-error message. I have to manually reclick the "Anyone who uses this computer" to connect to my ISP, so automatically connecting at start-up is usually useless. Please keep instructions very simple. Thanks for your help!

My thoughts are to deal with the 691 error here's a site from microsoft, you can also google ''691error'' the error is usually related to invalid user name & password but alot of other things can come into play see if the link is helpful.
