Default Hard drive - wrong default

i have 3 partitions.... 1 for system restore... the other 2 for documents, but everythin i download and install is going straight into the system restore one. How can i make another partition the default. the 3 drives are C: D: amd I: - everything installs in I: i thought C: was always the default. and now i cant download anything because its going straight into the I: part.

the hightlighted one is the recovery partition.

i use firefox... but its not just that, when i go to install things it doesnt let me do it, i download photoshop - and i downloaded it to the C: drive, but it still said theres not enough space left to install.... even though C: has got 100+Gig free space. my recovery drive has about 120mb free space.
