    Default Antivirus programs?

    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good, free antivirus program? I currently have Norton Antivirus, but my computer has been doing some weird stuff like informing me when I turn it on that it cannot load "security data". I went to Microsoft but am confused by all the different types of protection software and what they are for! (I'm not too bright when it comes to computers!)
Thanks for any advice or suggestions...
    Pam

Hi - Go to this link and read the instructions to remove all Norton products. You will need to use this tool to remove all Norton's 'stubborn' files.

Then go to this link and download the free version of AVG anti virus

    Regards.

Also - Are you using Norton Personal Firewall? If so, you can remove it with the Removal Tool and download this free Firewall from Zone Alarm.
When you link to the page below you want the free download on the extreme right of the list. You can ignore the 'Free 15 day Trial' bit, this is free for as long as you use it only for personal use.
