    Default just bought a system

    i just bought a new toshiba laptop with a single windows partition on the whole harddisk. already installed necessary softwares now want to install redhat/fedora core without having to reformat the disk. i want to resize the ntfs partition so as to be able to install linux in the free safe that will be created

    One thing to note. If you have to do a system restore on your Windows XP partition using hte recovery cds that came with the computer, you'll more than likely loose all data on the linux partition also. In short, make sure to backup your other partition's data as well as the window's partition data
