    Default blue screen of death

    my lap top crashed, it has a blue screen of death I try to get into safe mode all the letters are very small and blue screen just returns. I tried lots of repair reboot disk none work. please help !!!!!!!!!! Mike buddie824 :cry:

    what operating system are you running? If it's xp, look at this link:

    See down at the bottom the STOP message? Post the numbers from your blue screen that come after STOP. That helps identify the error.

    Not a nice error, from what I found the error above seems to be a hard drive error may be a faliure of the hard drive my infomation only comes from a google of ''0x000007B'' The error also can be generated from a new install of (sp2) service pack 2 for xp, don't think that concerns you.

    As in any blue screen error its always wise to check all hardware compatibilty, all device drivers up to date, Have you added any software or hardware to the laptop-If the drive was working i'd advise scanning it for virus. Also Others may have more knowledge and suggestions.

    lol thanks galena. I was getting a little freaked out!

    Alrighty, so the best thing to do to figure out if it's a bad hard drive or not is go to the hard drive manufacturers website and download their diagnostic tool and run a diagnostic on the drive.
