    Default Wireless Network Connection Problem

    Hi everyone,
I have wireless network at home from which i had internet access. There about 12 users on the network. Recently though, I am unable to connect to the network for some reason.
My wireless card is good because I can connect to other networks
Its a secure network and the key was saved
The settings are the same as the 11 other users who can still connect
    System restore was used
The wireless card drivers were updated as well as the software
and I still cannot connect to the network.

My computer is an Inspiron 6000 and the card is an Intel 2200 BG. I am still paying for internet access which i do not have so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just a quick and simple fix we could try, unfortunelly with networking there could many various problems that could be happening, but just a shot in the dark try this.

    1. Click start button

    2. Click "My Network Places"

    3. Right-click and click on "Properties"

    4. Right-click on "Local Area Connection" and click on "Properties"

    5. click on the "Authentication" tab

    6. Uncheck "Enable network access control using IEEE 802.1X"

    7. Click "OK"
