    Default problem with audio drivers

    [b]Hi friends

    I have a problem. I formatted my Pc and installed windows XP. but when I insertred my Motherboard CD to install drivers the audio button was gray. there is no sound in my pc and In device manager also there is no device name present. sound card is onboard card. please help me to get rid of this problem. here i am attaching my Berlac Advisor Report.

    Have you tried this driver: http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mis...01_wdm4010.zip

    That's the asus website Audio download for your specific motherboard/audio device.

    One thing though, unless I can't read, I don't see anything listed in your system profile having to do with an audio card but you could try installing the driver and see what happens.

    edit: and another thing, did you happen to disable anything in your BIOS? Might want to check to see if you acidentally disabled onboard sound.

    Ok, did you happen to check your BIOS as stated above to see if it was accidentally disabled?
