    Default Vista window's mail

New computer came with Vista - no Outlook express, so use Windows Mail already installed.
The "Deleted" file refuses to empty automatically. I can manually empty some emails but ones with my name on them and a RED FLAG beside them bring up an "error" notice.
I have tried various avenues including Windows Communities and although other people appear to have the same problem, no solution is forthcoming.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

This post should be in the Computer Help forum. Your question has nothing to do with spyware/malware.
