    Default Windows Server 2003

I have just added a new HD to my server and wondered what the easiest way to move some of my departmental shares with the ACL's. I am new to Windows Server so be kind. I had read somewhere that using xcopy at the command prompt with the /S/E/I/K/O switches would do the trick, as long as I made sure not one was using the shares.

Hi sdvic, this forum here is where you post questions for help

xcopy with those switches will most definitely do the trick. Will probably be a little time consuming. Make sure to do it when everyone has left for the day so you won't have to worry about anyone with open files.

you can read up on xcopy here
