    Hi 88,

When asking for computer help on a website you have to be as detailed as possible since we can't *see* the problem you're talking about. Your post is a little hard to understand, perhaps you could try to clarify it a bit?

Do you get any error messages when this happens?

You might try pressing alt-tab to change screens and get you out of what you're looking at.
I'm not sure if this is relevant to your situation.
    Good luck.

This sometimes happens to me when windows explorer gets hung up. I'd try this:

When you hit ctrl+alt+del and open up the task manager, click on the processes tab. Look for explorer.exe. Highlight this and then click end process. Then while still in the task manager, click file>New Task(run) and type in explorer.exe. That should bring explorer back up.

There could be underlying problems causing this. Could you give us your computer specs? Processor, RAM, etc?

when your start menu is there, right click it and select Properties.

ensure "always on top" is ticked.

If this is ticked, please reply and await other suggestions
