    Default Delete browsing history stuck

When I try to delete browsing history, it goes on forever - even after canceling the operation The only way I can stop it is by restarting. Even then XP won't let the computer restart, but the delete operation is finally cancelled. What's wrong?

 program of the day: CCleaner <-- this is a link

What can be happening is there is so much stuff in your history that the computer is locking up trying to get rid of it.

CCleaner can delete the garbage files on your system (temp files, temporary internet files, internet history etc.). Read the options you choose to be cleaned carefully. This can delete saved passwords you use in your internet browser and autocomplete forms (user names for websites you log in to).
