    Default Defrag

    As a matter of interest, why does my laptop still show 20% defragmentation AFTER defragging?
    Dell laptop, Windows 7, IE8

    That's because system files that are in use, like the page file, cannot be defragged. The only way to do that is to use a defragger that loads at boot time before the OS loads. PageDefrag works very well, but not for Win7 unfortunately.

    You could try searching for one. If you find one, post it here.
