Default Does Windows 7 delete restore points when you reboot?

Just ran into an interesting topic on Slashdot. For those of you running Win7, are your system restore points being deleted when you reboot?

Personally, I advise disabling Volume Shadow Copy. It uses way too much space, and with the cost of external drives so low and free backup software available (even the installed Windows 7 Backup and Restore Center), why take the risk of losing everything in the event of a problem? It's like having a backup drive installed in the computer itself. We never advise doing that, so why should VSC be any different?
