In the Search box, type the name of the file that you suspect might be duplicated.
* (entered in the search window) will open all folders...another example is an *jpg...will open all jpg images
On the toolbar, click Views, and then click Details.
Scroll down the list, looking for files with matching file names and file extensions. When you find one or more files that match, compare their dates in the Date Modified column. If their dates are the same, the files are probably duplicates. You might want to open the files and compare their contents to be certain.
Click the file you want to delete, and then press DELETE.
Note: There are free programs that will remove duplicates too...the above tip is mostly for using the Win7 search feature (also, available in the Start menu too)
