My computer will not make it to the Windows XP load icon after the system/BIOS check when the computer is ONLY turned on after being off for an extended period. If this is malware/virus related I hope posting the logs/scan results will catch some helpful responses and any others having the same issues.

Hello copycat.Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following: Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Then click Finish . If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan , then click Scan . When the scan is complete, click OK , then Show Results to view the results. Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected . When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note) The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply. Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. .

Create An Uninstall List Start HijackThis Click on the Open the Misc Tools section Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button. Click on the Save list button and specify where you would like to save this file and click Save . When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Copy and paste that list in your reply. .
