Just wanted to give you a heads-up. I am trying to lean down my pst, plus I'm about to uninstall Office 2007 & install Office Professional Plus 2010.

I really do appreciate you helping & working with me on this issue. I'll let you know what happens once we've done the install. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Well, after spending the entire weekend compressing the original pst file, then installing Office Professional Plus 2010, I am working on that same same computer & I'm getting the same messages, not responding on 3 different programs.

Any one of a variety of programs, that I may have open from a MS software to Firefox browser to WinAmp, whatever I may have open when it desides to not respond. The pst file is not around 1.5GB. We did a lot of work moving various items to new pst.s.

it is clear that this is not a malware related problem. Please disconnect from the web, uninstall every security software and test the system again. Only way I know is to uninstall everything, then install the software you need one by one, and test the system. So you will maybe know which installation is causing the issues.

I wanted to thank you for your help & trying to figure out what is causing the problems with my computer. That is my main work computer, so I don't have the option to clean the drive & start trouble shooting each program as I install them. I am working on building a new system, once I'm finished, I'll try what you have advised. Thank you & have a great week.
