Default Possible infection from rogue scanner

    Hi Net_Surfer,

    Thank you for helping me.

A few days ago a window popped up where something tried to scan this computer. I ended the Task via the Task Manager and haven't seen the scan since but I'd like to verify that I am clear of malware and that something else wasn't installed.

Due to an intermittently bad internet connection I have had to use a USB Flash drive and transfer the files to the infected computer to perform the following scans on Dial Up. Also, I could not get IE9 to connect no matter what I tried, so I had to download and install Firefox via the USB Flash drive and it finally connected once my Internet connection did work.

Below you'll find the logs you asked me to post here at H2G.

This log file is located at C:\rkill.log.
Please post this only if requested to by the person helping you.
Otherwise you can close this log when you wish.

    Hi Net_Surfer,

A friend has helped me to fix this issue. Nothing serious was found except tons of tool bars. Please close this topic.

    Thank you,
