Lets look a few items and do a few things, are you using Firefox?

Copy and paste the text in the code box below into Notepad. Don't copy the word Code just what's in the code Box
    Code:
    @Echo on
    pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
    attrib -h -s -r hosts
    echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
    attrib +r +h +s hosts
    popd
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset all
    netsh int ip reset all
    shutdown -r -t 1
    del %0
Save as flush.bat to your desktop.
Double-click flush.bat file to run it. Your computer will reboot.

Note: For Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click flush.bat and select "Run as Administrator" .

sorry about my ignorance. I am able to save the code to notepad however when i go to save to desktop. my only options are text or all files. no flush.bat. Is this something I need to download?

should I check "no proxy" in the firefox tools?

Sorry about that, yes "No Proxy" in the Firefox tools.

You name the file to flush.bat, you type that in yourself....You can name it anything just as log as it has .bat at the end.

make sure that Windows doesn’t stick the standard “.txt” ending on the end of our new file. To do this, change the filetype from “.txt” to “all files”

    Example

    • Click File -> Save, and choose a file name. Yours will be flush.bat
    • Save the file on the Desktp.
    • Click the dropdown menu under "Save as type" and select "All files" instead of Text (.txt).
    • End the file name with .bat as the extension. flush.bat
    • Click Save. If you did this correctly, you should see your file name in the title bar of Notepad.

    Weird!

Can you open it in another browser?

Clean out your temporary internet files and temp files.

Download TFC by OldTimer http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe to your desktop.

    Double-click TFC.exe to run it.

Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator

TFC will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.

    * Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process.
    * Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two.
    * Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished.

Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.

downloaded TFC and ran successfully. I could not open Adobe site on FF but could on IE. I downloaded it successfully. Don't know why FF won't load Adobe site.
