I wouldn't use either without and expert to help you with the logs. Those are very powerful tools.

Can you please update and run MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware and post their logs.

I ran a full scan on Superantispyware and it reported no suspicious entries. It did show there are two browser extensions installed - MySearchdial and IMinent, but didn't say what action I needed to take.

What do you mean by this?

Download Windows Repair (all in one) from this site

Install the program then run it.

Go to Step 2 and allow it to run CheckDisk by clicking on Do It button:

Once that is done then go to Step 3 and allow it to run System File Check by clicking on Do It button:

Go to Step 4 and under "System Restore" click on Create button:

Go to Start Repairs tab and click Start button.

Please ensure that ONLY items seen in the image below are ticked as indicated (they're all checked by default):

Click on box next to the Restart System when Finished. Then click on Start.

Okay. Done that, but no instructions. Computer restarted as scheduled. I have found a load of repair logs in the program folder for Tweaking but haven't opened them.
Re Silverlight - I subscribe to satellite TV provider Sky and they have a streaming service known as SkyGo so you can watch channels on your PC, tablet, phone etc. This depends on Silverlight but when I try to connect I get a message "There appears to be a problem with Silverlight Application Storage on your computer". I have vetted Siverlight and application storage is enabled for Watch TV Online | Sky Go. I will try reinstalling the app.

How is the machine running besides the Silverlight problem?

Hi Sorry for the delay, have been away.
Apart from the Silverline problem I am working OK but that MySearchdial keeps popping up so I have to get rid of it regularly.
