    Default Computer protection

I hope that this is the correct forum for this subject.
Our PC has the following (upto date) programs to protect it.

    Zone Alarm firewall.
    Spyware Blaster.
    Spyware Guard.
    AVG free edition.
    Microsoft Anti Spyware.
    Win Patrol.
    SpyBot S&D.
    Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE.

We generally use Firefox with a few extentions. The default browser is IE6 (for updates and the like).

Our son has found a program called ClamWin. http://www.clamwin.com/

I wondered if this is worth installing given what we have already?
Also, how does freeware protection rate against commercial packages and do we need to buy a PC security package?

    Many thanks joonspoon. 8)

You got everything you need. However Windows Defender just came out to replace MS Anti Spyware program.

As far a ClamWin I can't say that I ever heard of it. Please remember that you should not run 2 Anti Virus programs.

    Hi BG.
This is a great help. We will not run more than one anti-virus.
Will ignore ClamWin and check out MS Defender.
Sorry I posted in the wrong forum.

    Thanks for the answers BG.
We are currently working out what needs to be done and how. All a bit confusing but we'll get there!
