    Yes ... try and restart the service :wink:

    If it wont restart ... restart the computer with the service set to automatic, then go see if it's running ...

    Its on automatic but I still get the same message when I run services.msc

    also, when I run the ccleaner I almost alwyas get a message to run a chkdsk so I do that...is that in some way interfering with this? :?

    What are you referring to here :- "I still get the same message when I run services.msc"

    Are we talking about the Help and Support service ... ?

    SO it's set to automatic ... but ...

    did you try to restart it ?
    Did it restart ?
    Is it still running after you reboot ?

    I ran the fix windows xp and it still said it will not repair help and support. I did a restart and it still says it automatic.
