I was sucessful at making a boot cd. This is an awesome tool
The only step that caused me any greif what so ever was the output screen, I had selected a folder that did not exist yet. Which caused it to go through the whole process of generating the iso only to fail because it couldn't find the folder.
Make your folders first.
I tried installing Nero 6.03 and I edited the ini file as directed, but the Name and org and serial number didn't take for some reason, still lets you use it in demo mode, which is x days from the time you boot from your cd. =)
This is the first windows based boot cd i've come accross, and I like it alot.

learn about Slip Streaming...do a google search for "Slip Stream Service Pack 2" you'll find the answer. Once you've done a slip stream CD then you can use that as the source.
Actually, now that I think of it, you could copy all files of your cdrom to a folder on your HDD (say C:\XPCD\). Then download the network install of XP Service Pack 2 (located here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyI d=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en ). Download that to a folder (let's say C:\sp2\). Then, once it's done downloading open a command prompt (start menu -> run -> type "cmd"(no quotes) -> hit "ok") and type in CD\sp2 then type WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe /integrate:c:\xpcd and let it copy the files. After it's done copying you may then use the BartPE program to create your rescue CD (using C:\xpcd) as your source.

Hi,
I have made this cd some 4 months back. Added many plugins. Did some self study, had gather many files. But ultimately made 1.
Now the real story.
I am using this cd atleast twice a day at my customer's place to solve their problems. It's actually the result of sheer hard work of Bart. I use this platform to thank him nad wish him good luck.
Now I have a query how can i add a browser to this cd ? I dont have 1 on my cd. Any Idea ?
Regards. |

If the PC came preinstalled with XP, you can always contact the manufacture of the PC, assuming you can prove to them that in fact it is yours. Your chances of getting a replacement CD are probably slim.
