BEWARE. Tetris used to keep me up at nights. Bejeweled haunted my dreams. But Snood, well, I see Snoods every time I close my eyes. Possibly the most addictive puzzle game ever invented, Snood has become one of the 10 most played computer games in the world. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that I'm not alone in my addiction.

The game itself looks very similar to other puzzle games -- different shapes are placed in the playing field, and you have to match up 3 or more to make them disappear. However, you have complete control over where you shoot your next shape. With literally hundreds of thousands of levels, this game ALWAYS has a new challenge in store for you.

Snood is available for most computers and PDAs. I was originally addicted on my PocketPC handheld, but have now moved my addiction to my Windows PC. There's also versions for Macintosh computers and Palm PDAs. Snood is shareware, meaning that you can download and try it for free. If you get hooked, then you can buy a license key from the author.

The author is just a regular guy with a family, not a big corporation, so I felt compelled to buy a license key and support his fine work. Though I can't help but liken him to a drug dealer -- after all, he gives away the first taste for free. ;)

You can download Snood from Snood.com. They ask for your email address, but right underneath that is a link to skip the registration process in case you don't want to give out any information. We highly recommend it! Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to get back to my Snood playing...
