How to Get the Most From Your Search Engine

by Grim322

Knowing a few simple techniques to use with your internet search engine can make you look like a genius sometimes. Here are a few simple ideas to try.

1. Don't limit your search to the first page of results. The first page is not necessarily the best match, just the ones that know how to get noticed by the search engine. You will often find what you are looking for on the second or third page.

2. If you don't get the results you want, change the key words you are searching for. The meaning might be the same for you, but the search results will be quite different.

3. Use more than one search engine. Google is great, but it is not the only one. A different search engine will bring up a different set of matches. I have had great success with Teoma at www.teoma.com

4.Be patient. Don't expect to find exactly what you are looking for in a minute. Sometimes it takes some time to change your search, use different search engines, and look at multiple pages.

With proper use you will look like a genius when in fact you know nothing more than where and how to find the information.
