This is our favorite anti-spyware utility, written with the help of many of the smartest anti-malware experts in the community. It's small, fast and free, and removes many of the worst infections we've seen recently. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to install Malwarebytes' Anti-malware program and scan your system for errors.

First, download the utility from the Malwarebytes website.

Once the download is complete, run the install program, and accept all of the default options. Make sure that the options to Update and Launch the software is checked when you click Finish.

Now, let's make sure that it has all of the latest anti-spyware definitions: click on the Update tab and click the Check for Updates button.

When the scan is complete, it will show you all of the potentially harmful files on your computer - click the button to remove them automatically.

IMPORTANT: after it removes any problems, a Notepad window will pop up with a log file containing information on what was done to your computer. If you are asking a question of our spyware experts, please copy and paste the contents of this file into your question post.

Also, don't forget to follow all of the steps in our Get Rid of Spyware article to make sure that your system is clean and stays clean!
