What a wonderful week it has been for viruses! Yet another worm is making its way around the Internet. This one is called Sobig.F, and it's a new variant of an older virus.

This virus sends email messages in order to spread itself. The viruses may appear to be from Microsoft, ZDNet, or other reputable companies. Nevertheless, do not click on the links contained in the message, and do not run any of the attachments!

Removal

Download a free virus removal program from F-Secure by clicking here. Save the file to your Desktop. Once it has been downloaded, run the program by clicking on the icon on your desktop. It will remove any trace of this virus.

News is still scarce on this virus. For more information, this new story from CNet is helpful.

If you need a good free antivirus program, we recommend AVG from Grisoft.com.

And as always, if you have any questions about how to get rid of this, post a question in our Q & A Forum.
