If you have spotted the file license_manager.exe running on your computer's startup, then your PC is the victim of the MoviePass ad-related malware. We'll show you how to remove it.

The best and most complete way of ridding your PC of this (and other) malware is to follow the steps in our Get Rid of Spyware guide.

Pay particular attention to Step 5 in the guide, when you run the HijackThis utility. In HijackThis, make sure you check the entry that looks like:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [License Manager] "C:\Program Files\License_Manager\license_manager.exe " /silent

You should also run your log through the Help2Go Detective (Step 6), just to make sure that there are no other baddies hiding.

After rebooting, delete the C:\Program Files\License_Manager\ folder on your hard drive.

If you still experience problems after running through all of the instructions in the guide, you can post a message in the Spyware Help forums, and one of our experts will be glad to help you out.
